Our favourite model and street style-icon Poppy Delevingne is a dedicated fan of Madeleine Thompson’s laid back elegant cashmere designs.
As the face of previous Madeleine Thompson campaigns you can get her cool look with pieces from the Autumn Winter 2012 collection…

Visit the fabulous blog Lady M and read about Madeleine Thompson and her thoughts on her brand and her design philosophy.
“We love the comfy looking wool mix dresses to the sweaters with sequinned elbow pads. The classic short dresses and the calypso skirts that are edgy yet smart and the tops that can take you from the office or design studio to the coffee shop or bar”.
The bloggers at Lady M have fallen in love with Madeleine Thompson’s slouchy beanies…
“My focus is on elegance & simplicity while still looking fresh, never fussy. I like to experiment with different textures and of utmost importance of course, is the feel of the fabric against the skin. Being comfortable is something that I put huge emphasis on as a designer”. Madeleine Thompson

Madeleine Thompson’s Hummingbird cashmere scarf is featured in the latest issue of Drapers – “lightweight scarves in a variety of prints provide the finishing touch”.
We couldn’t agree more…!

Have you registered for this year’s Dîner en Blanc in London?
The concept of Dîner en Blanc was founded in France over 20 years ago by François Pasquier, and the idea is to get people together for a magical night of fine dining and wonderful company under the stars. Guests were informed through word of mouth to keep the event intimate and friendly.
It has grown since then; every year thousands of white dressed people gather for a chic picnic on a central location that is announced last minute.
Guests have to bring their own food, wine, table and chairs as well as real cutlery and china. Also, as it is a fancy occasion not any picnic food will do!
“Originality is encouraged as long as it stays stylish and denotes taste”.
At a given moment later in the evening, all guests light spraklers in the dark…
Dîner en Blanc will be held in London in 23 days – location yet unknown…
Wear the Madeleine Thompson Maddy beanie and stay warm in the night with a white Jane jumper.

After a lazy relaxed summer we can’t wait to get back to work and getting ready for autumn with plenty of new goals and creative energy!
But what’s most exciting about this time of year is updating the autumn wardrobe (obviously!). We do look forward to feeling well-dressed in cardigans, chunky scarves and well tailored coats in the crisp September air.
We like to combine the super-comfy Madeleine Thompson Evie dress with bright colourful accessories.

The ultra-chic stylist Natasha Chang Lewis came by our office yesterday and fell in love with a red chunky jumper from the Madeleine Thompson Cruise/12-13 collection.
Natasha shows how creative you can be when styling a classic cashmere cardigan – just add your favourite accessories to make a personal and unique statement.
“It is soo soft and cozy and I love the deep red colour! I never want to take it off!”

Carine Roitfeld (inspired by Coco Chanel?)
We bet you have heard of Karl Lagerfeld’s and Carine Roitfeld’s exciting fashion project The Little Black Jacket? It resulted in a video and a coffee table book with photographs of models, musicians, actors, designer and stylists wearing Chanel‘s iconic little black jacket in different and personal ways.
The photos have also become part of a world touring exhibition - Saatchi Gallery in London will show them between the 12th and the 18th October 2012. Watch the teaser for the previous exhibition in Hong Kong here…

Make sure to watch the making of video and behind-the-scene photos here!
The Little Black Jacket is an exhibition you absolutely do not want to miss – magic happens when art and fashion come together! x

One of our favourite London stores is Skandium which sells scandinavian home decor and furniture online and in Marelybone, Selfridges and Brompton. The shops offer an amazing range of products and brands, including the Scandinavian classics Georg Jensen, Asplund, iittala, Marimekko and Vipp.
Pitcher by the Danish designer Georg Jensen – so gorgeous you could fill it with lilies and use it as a vase!
The Samsas easy chair by Carl Malmsten was designed in 1923 but the black leather makes it look really modern and contemporary.
Charming, playful tea cup by Marimekko
These minimalist Dew Drop earrings by Georg Jensen would go perfect with a cashmere cardigan…
The classic Eames house bird by Vitra
Be inspired and do visit one of their beautiful stores if you get the chance! x

The trendy eco line of specialty detergent and fabric care, The Laundress New York, was founded in 2004 by Gwen Whiting and Lindsey Boyd. The collection came about as they were fed up with expensive dry cleaning and strong chemicals that damaged their beloved delicate clothes in cashmere, wool and silk.
Educated in Fiber Science, Textile and Apparel Management and Design, Gwen and Lindsey developed detergents for each fabric, with different scents to create a sophisticated yet eco friendly collection.
The Laundress offers laundry products and tools, buckets and brushes, laundry bins, storage, travel storage and much much more, all tastefully designed and packaged.
Wool and Cashmere Pacquette Box – lets you carry emergency cashmere detergent wherever you go!
Lavender Pouch – a natural moth repellent that will keep your cashmere and wool clothing protected and wonderfully scented. Keep a few pouches in the folds of your cardigans and jumpers in the closet and in your suitcases.
Make sure your Madeleine Thompson pieces stay clean and fresh by treating them with eco-friendly detergents which will make them last for years and years.

It’s official, the Madeleine Thompson team have a new style crush; gorgeous 23 year-old actress Lily James.
Having recently starred in the Olympic themed Summer blockbuster ‘Fast Girls’ as an aspiring British athlete, Lily has just joined the cast of ITV’s multi award-winning hit drama series ‘Downton Abbey’, where she will star as Lady Rose, the niece of Lord Granthman.
We love Lily’s playful yet sophisticated style and are delighted that she is also a big fan of Madeleine Thompson; we think she looks absolutely fab in the ‘Maddy Beanie’ for InStyle magazine!
Madeleine Thompson’s playfully patterned ‘Hummingbird Scarf’ oozes effortless style but for the exact Lily James look, head over to Cowshed where you can find the exact beanie that Lily is wearing in her gorgeous editorial for InStyle.
What’s not to love?!
